RC2 new features

1. Support Cloud Kernel

  • High stability

After super large-scale deployment practice and verification of the extreme pressure of e-commerce business, the stability has been significantly enhanced.

  • Efficient calculation

Based on the upstream 4.19 LTS core, it supports X86 and ARM architectures, and supports Feiteng, Haiguang, Zhaoxin, and Kunpeng chips.

  • High-performance network

Supports XDP (eXpress Data Path) high-performance core network protocol, bypassing the traditional TCP/IP core protocol stack, and UDP performance is increased by more than 1 times, which is close to the performance of user-mode network solutions such as DPDK.

  • High-performance storage

Support io_uring new high-performance asynchronous programming framework, provide high-performance storage solutions in the form of standard system calls, and increase single-core IO performance by 150%.

  • Strong isolation ability

Complete cgroup v2 support, providing a variety of IO isolation solutions, including buffer IO current limit (cgroup writeback), blk-iocost weight control, etc., to solve the long-term problem of IO cannot be completely isolated.

2. Provide full Appstream module

3. Support Dragonwell8 JDK
